How to Troubleshoot Oct. Relay Fault DS7400 Series

Issue

Symptom

The keypad displays Oct. Relay Fault.

Probable Cause

1. The octal relay module ( DS7488 ) is defective or the wiring to the module is defective.
2. There is not a DS7488 or a DS7488 has been removed from the system.

Solution

1. Check the wiring to the module.
2. Enter the programming mode. This will rescan the options bus and clear the problem.
