How-to: Why does the AEC display, "Permission Denied"

Question

Why does the AEC display, "Permission Denied.  Please register your machine IP address with the panel", when attempting to upgrade the firmware?

Answer

Your computer's IP address is not listed as one of the IP addresses permitted to make firmware changes on the AEC.  To resolve this, perform the following steps:

1.  Log into the AEC controller.
2.  Browse to System | Network Settings.
3.  Enter the IP address of your computer into one of the 3 available fields listed under Remote PC Address.

You should now be able to upgrade the AEC firmware from the computer using the IP address you entered.
