  2. The camera will display "Status 8" when the internal temperature is above 80 Deg C.

Possible causes and solution(s)

  • Causes

As part of QMM routine monitoring of field returns, a potential overheating issue for the AUTODOME IP inteox 7000i cameras was observed.

A malfunction in one of the software components controlling the camera's heater was identified on the version 8.12.0005. The malfunction only occurs when the camera is exposed to specific conditions. To eliminate any inconvenience to our customers, FW 8.12.0010 fixes this malfunction. It is available on the Bosch Security Download Store.

  • Solution

The camera FW must be upgraded. to 8.12.0010 or higher.

Do not  connect the AUTODOME inteox 7000i camera to the network and configure it while it is still inside the packaging/box.

NOTE: FW version 8.12.0010, is a prerequisite for the process of upgrading to firmware versions 8.40.00029 or higher.

Please note that one customer in NA operated cameras with the FW bug (8.12.0005) inside the packaging that the camera is shipped in. The internal temperature increased high enough over 24 hours to warp the bubble. But the external surfaces did not exceed the UL safety limits and there was not any risk of fire.

Per internal agreement, any customer that reports a deformed bubble can receive a replacement bubble free of charge. The RMA desk can be contacted so that that they can process the request.
