This article describes how to use Milestone's PTZ "Home" position with Bosch PTZ cameras.

Milestone's Smart Client's PTZ control provides a 'Home' button, which can be used and configured in several ways.
Step-by-step guide
The action that is executed on the click of the home button is defined in the Camera's video settings in the Management Client as depicted below:

This settings is available in the 'Bosch' driver for the Inteox cameras and in the 'BoschPTZ' driver since Device Pack 11.9
- Hardware default maps to the 'Homing procedure', which takes quite some time and is very often not the mode that is wanted by the end customers.
- Alternative Home maps to the 'Alternative Home' position, set on the cameras, where available.
- Any other preset maps the preset to the home button - this was implemented as a workaround for Bosch cameras that do not provide an 'Alternative Home' position.
