This article describes how to use Milestone's PTZ  "Home" position with Bosch PTZ cameras.

Milestone's Smart Client's PTZ control provides a 'Home' button, which can be used and configured in several ways.

Step-by-step guide

The action that is executed on the click of the home button is defined in the Camera's video settings in the Management Client as depicted below:

This settings is available in the 'Bosch' driver for the Inteox cameras and in the 'BoschPTZ' driver since Device Pack 11.9

1. Hardware default maps to the 'Homing procedure', which takes quite some time and is very often not the mode that is wanted by the end customers.
2. Alternative Home maps to the 'Alternative Home' position, set on the cameras, where available.
3. Any other preset maps the preset to the home button - this was implemented as a workaround for Bosch cameras that do not provide an 'Alternative Home' position.
