Question
What to do if BVMS Operator Client event list shows ‘VRM ‘192.xxx.xxx.xxx’: Configuration failed (creation of configuration failed)’?
In BVMS Operator Client event list there is an error that constantly appears indicating: System Error > info: “VRM ‘192.xxx.xxx.xxx’: Configuration failed (creation of configuration failed)”
New cameras added to the system do not start recording. In the camera recording tab, it looks that they are “managed” by the VRM but does not receive any blocks from any iSCSI.
Answer
Check if there are special characters in the cameras name or passwords. For example, if there is a slash “/” in the cameras name, remove it and monitor if the error persists.

please save existing config.xml before doing this.
Check whether there is a special character in the VRM pool’s name (e.g. + @ : < > ' & etc.). If so, please remove the special character from the VRM pool’s name and then Save & Activate.
