RTSP connections cannot be established between FLEXIDOME micro 3100i and 3rd party web applications
Possible causes and solution(s)
Symptoms
RTSP connection between FLEXIDOME 3100i F02 series model (NUV-3702-F02) and 3rd party WEB application cannot be established due to an Unauthorized message.
System structure:
3rd party WEB application
FLEXIDOME 3000i
FLEXIDOME 3100i (with no password)
FLEXIDOME 3100i (with password)
TLS 1.2 was configured on both models and it only works on the 3000i camera. Special characters have been excluded. FLEXIDOME 3100i camera works fine with VLC.
the FLEXIDOME 3000i (CPP7.3) model (NDV-3502-F02) works fine in the 3rd party WEB application, doing digest authorization, using the same code.
the FLEXIDOME 3100i (CPP14) F02 series model (NUV-3702-F02), don't work using the same code in the 3rd party WEB application
it only works with no passwords or with no password for user live
access protection enforcement is off
HTTP basic authentication is ON
Reason of failure:
The digest auth done in the websocket binary protocol isn't taken into account by rtsp layer
Solution
Digest Authentication via websocket has been impleneted
The authentication problem has been solved in the Firmware version 9.41.
“Fixed an issue where RTSP connections could not be established between FLEXIDOME 3100i and certain web applications. This was limited to specific applications using particular authentication methods.”
See Release Letter_CPP14_FW_9.41.0018
Therefore, please ensure that you are using Firmware 9.41 or a later version on the FLEXIDOME 3100i camera (NUV-3702-F02).
You can get the firmware from the official Bosch Download Area.
Note:
To upgrade to FW 9.41 it is required to have FW 9.0 (or higher) installed first (see chapter 3.6 from Release Letter_CPP14_FW_9.41.0018).
This is not applicable for AVIOTEC devices.
