Wrong results when scanning for VSG from Configuration Client

Possible causes and solution(s)

Symptoms

Using the "Scan for Video Streaming Gateways" option in BVMS Configuration Client to add a VSG to a pool typically fails to detect all available instances of the VSG on the network. Repeated scans often pick up different instances, but almost never show the full list of those that are installed.

Solution

Please add the VSGs manually. This information can be found in the Configuration manual of BVMS, from page 179, chapter 12.23.4: BVMS_12.0_Configuration_Manual_EN 

This behavior is fixed in BVMS 12.3.
