Symptoms

The error message "Couldn't find a compatible Webview2 Runtime installation to host WebViews" might occur after installing the AI Alarm Verification Plug-in on a Milestone Husky system and attempting to log into Remote Portal in the Plug-in. The Milestone XProtect server or one of its components attempted to load a part of its interface or functionality that relies on the WebView2 runtime. However, the WebView2 runtime was either not installed or not properly configured, leading to the file not being found and the application failing to load the necessary components.

Solution

Please note that Milestone Husky systems may not include WebView2 by default. We recommend referring to Microsoft for downloading the latest WebView2 package.
