How to prevent a shifting lens tilt position when assembling the bubble (FLEXIDOME 5100i)?

When the lens of FLEXIDOME 5100i camera is set to a higher tilt angle, you might encounter that the tilt is shifting when assembling the bubble, making it challenging to set a specific tilt angle to meet the desired Field of View (FoV).  

• Solution

To prevent the lens from tilting when assembling the bubble, it’s recommended to tilt the bubble on to ensure it only engages with the IR sealing rubber when fully seated. 

Step 1: Mount camera and set FoV 

Step 2: Start placing the top cover / bubble to have initial engagement of the alignment pillars. Do not press down. 

Step 3: Tilt / angle the bubble down on the side of the lens and start to move it down on the lens side. This will ensure the bubble only to engage with the IR rubber in its final position and doesn’t shift the lens tilt position. 

Step 4:  fully seat the bubble and tighten the screws

Outdoor camera example: 

The same process applies to the indoor camera where after the alignment pillars are engaged (step 2) the bubble + camera housing can be tilted (step 3)
