Determine Fire Alarm Operation on Second Alarm from a Silenced Panel
Determine Fire Alarm Operation on Second Alarm from a Silenced Panel
Issue
If a MUX point goes in to alarm and the panel is silenced and the point clears, will the panel go back into alarm if the point shorts again?
Solution
It depends on whether the point is latching or non-latching. If it is latching then no, it will only sound until it is silenced and then will not sound again until the panel is reset. If a different latching point trip them the alarm will resound. However, if the point is non-latching then the panel would return to normal when the point clears which would allow it to sound alarm again on the new alarm.
