Plan For 2-Wire Smoke on the 7024 Series and DS9400 Series Fire Panels

Can two-wire smoke detectors be connected to on-board points of a D7024 or DS9400 Series Fire Alarm Control Panel (FACP)?

• Solution

Yes. Points (or zones) 1 through 8 are powered loops. Any smoke detector that is UL-Listed compatible with the FACP can be wired to Points 1 through 8.

*Note- Points 5 - through 8 require a DS9434 on DS9400 Series panels, Points 5 - through 8 require a D7034  on D7024 Series panels and Points 5 - through 8 require a FPE-7034 on FPD-7024 Series panels.
