How to Have the Panel Silence and Clear Alarms without touching the Keypad
Issue
Can an alarm be cleared when the zone clears without using the keypad?
Solution
Yes. The alarm can be cleared when the zone clears if you program the zone for Non-Latching.
Use the following steps to program the zone as Non-Latching:
- Press [0][9][8][7][6] (Program Code) on the keypad to enter Program Mode.
- Press [4] to select "Input Programming."
- Press [1] to select "Point Number."
- Enter the point number (001 to 255) followed by [#].
- Press [4] to select "Latching."
- Press [0] to select "NO."
*Note- This does not work for Latching devices, such as a 2 or 4 wire Smoke.
If there is another point that need to be Non-Latching Press * (Clear) once and repeat steps 4 through 6 above for each point that needs to be Non-Latching.
To Exit Program Mode Press * (Clear) 4 times.
