MIC-7000i & MIC-9000i Optical- Troubleshooting for Video Quality & Focus Issues
Possible causes and solution(s)
Symptoms
Intermittent focus issues for MIC 7000i series and for the Optical video in the MIC 9000i.
This doesn't occur on all cameras that are installed. It is a random number of camera and the failure itself is random. It may occur 3 times a day, but it may only occur once every 3 months!
Causes
Multiple issues were found, but most of these were related to the camera block FW.
Solution
All issues have been resolved with CPP 7.80.0127 and higher. This FW release includes the capability to upgrade the camera block FW to v4006.
The critical focus fixes are in the camera block. So FW 7.80 can be used as a method to upgrade the camera block and then the camera can be downgraded back to the current version.
