Focus is the process of adjusting the lens to ensure that objects in a specific area of the scene are clear. 

Step-by-step guide

To set the focus position on MIC IP starlight 7100i (setpoint from far to nearby focus/ focus to a certain setpoint), access the camera from web browser and follow the below steps. The most simple and reliable way is to simply configure this in the camera for each preset and this is a one-time setting. 

1. Go to Configuration  
2. Expand the Camera menu  
3. Select Pre-position settings  
4. In the Pre-Position field, choose Pre-position 1. The fields below will automatically update as follows: 

• Name: Pre-position 1 

• Automatic exposure area: Full-screen 

• Auto-focus: One push 

• Day near limit (m): 0.30 

• Night near limit (m): 0.10

       5. Click the Set button to apply the changes. 

This configuration could be also done through Bosch Configuration Manager. 

Nice to know:

For significant image improvements, consider the following: 

• update to the latest firmware. 

• update the camera block. 

• restore the scene mode to default and use the default scene mode.
