Possible causes and solution(s)

Cause:

After During upgrading to the DICENTIS Conference system to 3.60 or higher, the TLS1.0 is disabled for security reasons, and security encryption will be disabled and replaced with the new TLS1.2 is enabled. Since the Multimedia device does first generation of Multimedia Device (MMD) do not support TLS1.2 instead of MMD2 version, it does not show logo and participant images anymore.

Solution:

Enable TLS1.0 on the serverwill not be possible anymore to show an logo or participant images on old hardware MMDs.

Solution:

If you have such old MMD units you need to switch back to the old TLS1.0 encryption manually to get them working again.

(MMD2 are not involved)


Quick steps:

  1. Open a command prompt in Administrator mode.
  2. Run \Tools\TLS_MMD\EnableTLS1.0.bat from the DICENTIS ISO file.DICENTIS  Software
  3. Powercycle the server.

Note: This directory in our Software also contains a file the opposite to disable activate TLS1.02.

Open DCNM.iso file from 3.60 or newer.  (I have renamed it the DCNM.iso file to DCNM_3.61 so that I know which version it is)







  • Run \Tools\TLS_MMD\EnableTLS1.0.bat from the DICENTIS ISO Software DCNM.iso file
